About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I love to travel, but work and my dog keep me home most of the time. I love exploring new places as well as visiting old favorites.
ABOUT ME
I am a rowing coach which keeps me out doors when Boston's weather allows, and during the winter I get more time off and can travel a bit. I love food: cooking, sharing, and learning about food cultures; I'm the kind of person who reads cooks books cover to cover. The last thing I made was French Onion Soup, stock and everything from scratch.
PHILOSOPHY
Try your very best to surround yourself with what makes you happy. And spend time in the company of good people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I stayed with the brother (my first AirBNB endeavor) of the guy who invented couch surfing in Somerville, MA- that's how I've heard about it. I unfortunately cannot host because of my roommate situation, but would be happy to provide any insight into the Boston area to curious travelers.
In the past, I've hosted a few fellow couch surfers while I lived in Newport, RI and had a great experience.
Interests
My dog is the best thing that's happened to me. She's a sweet heart and takes care of me just as much as I take care of her.
Other important interests: Food! I am also a potter (ceramics), love spending time with friends, love to plan travel and adventures. Dancing. Coffee and conversation. Long walks. Short runs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies: Saw Manchester By The Sea recently, not sure if it's one of my all time favorites, but it is a great movie.
Books: cookbooks! nonfiction crime stories, or adventure
Music: I'm open to most music; very mood-dependant
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen wayyyy more sunrises than sunsets because I'm up early for coaching. I think that sunrises are better, world seems more at peace.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love Boston, and while I can't currently host, I'm happy to share my knowledge of the area with anyone interested on gaining some insight. I'm also open to sharing meals, or grabbing a beer at my favorite local bar.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It would be great to break bread: maybe share our love of travel over a great meal or glass of wine. But I'm also very independent and am happy if I'm left alone.
