Overview
About Me
My name's Corey, a lifelong Pennsylvanian--though I love travelling. I'm a quiet dude, though I thrive on lively discussion. I recently graduated with an MFA in poetry writing from Chatham University here in Pittsburgh. I currently work for an after school enrichment program that helps under privileged middle schoolers improve their academic and social performance. I formerly managed a literary journal called The Fourth River.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a competitive bagpiper (no really, it's a thing) and I'm constantly travelling to various competitions and games around the US and Canada. Between entry fees and gas, it can get kind of expensive. I also think Couchsurfing a great opportunity to meet local folks and much more fun than staying at dumpy motel.
I promise I won't play my pipes in the house.
Interests
I'm very fond of music in a wide array of genres. Other than pipes, I play guitar, mandolin, and banjo. I'm a bit of history buff and I love politics. I also spend a lot of time reading and writing. Other than that, I enjoy a good conversation over coffee or a nice pint.
