Overview
About Me
I'm a person that's very interested in the world around me, whether it be people, places, politics, ideas, education, etc. I'm a pretty artsy dude, so I like a lot of music and visual art forms. I'm someone that will help out others that need it; I care deeply about my friends and family. I'm also at that point in my life where I want to expand myself and see the world that I live in. I'm traveling around Europe for about a month and a half with a friend, and that's a large reason why I wanted to do this trip. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always open to new ideas. So when you meet me it shouldn't be too hard to make a connection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to try using Couchsurfing because it sounded like an excellent way to meet new people whenever I decide to travel. I haven't travelled a whole lot before, but it's something that I really would like to start doing more often. I want to see the world around me first hand and not just through a screen, whether it's TV or on the internet. Couchsurfing, to me, seems like an easy, sociable way for people to branch out.
Interests
I'm mainly interested in Psychology and Visual Arts. I've been doing art stuff my whole life, so I can definitely say that it's a very big part of me. Psychology on the other hand I've only recently discovered. I found out about Psych by taking a course while in high school; I soon fell in love with the field. I took a college course the following year because it peaked my interest and I wanted to see if I had the motivation to study the dicipline. Now done with high school, I plan whole-heartedly to make a career out of Psychology.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have an appreciation for most types of music out there, but the three genres that I find myself coming back to are metal, indie-rock, and classic-rock.
Books: I really don't read as much as I would like too. But when I do read, I like Science-fiction novels the most. The most recent book that I've finished is "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep." Definitely a great book and I plan to read some of Phillip K. Dick's books. I already the "VALIS" triology lined up next.
Movies: I like watching movies. A lot. The Hayao Miyazaki are some of my favorite films to watch; his style of art is very appealing to me. I also enjoy watching Dramas, Thrillers, and some Horror films. Aside from movies I also watch many TV shows. Some of my favorites are Wilfred, American Horror Story, and It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia. I also really like watching anime, so if you know some of that feel free to chat with me about it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I grew up in Hawaii on the island Maui. Not many people can say that, I guess. Maui's such a beautiful place; I definitely recommend travelling there if you get the chance. Recently I went to Roskilde music festival in Denmark and that was such a fucking crazy time. Eight days of partying and great music.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: What can I teach you; well, I know some stuff about Psychology, and I know some random tidbits of other information within the field of Science.
Learn: I'm always open to new perspectives and ideas, so there's nothing specifically that I'm looking to learn. We'll just have to sit down, have a conversation about something, and see where that goes.
Share: I think the best thing I could share with my hosts is my perspective on topics - that and music. I don't have my full list of artists that I listen to on my Ipod (because I ran out of space like sometime last year) but I do have some of my music saved to my Spotify account. And again, I'm always interested for people to share there opinions with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm fun to hang out with? I can clean around my host's place, do the dishes, or just provide help when needed.
