About Me

Born and bred in Canada, and have traveled much of it West to East. (8/10 provinces and still counting) But it's always been on my list to visit my father's homeland. Now that he has passed away, it has been at the top of the list for too long.

I have the chance, and am looking for like-minded individuals to hang out with. I have always longed to see the the deep purple hues, an' th' highland's hazy dews; as well as the the day to day urban atmosphere. Too many stories that I've heard, and not enough memories. ..

I can cheer for either the Celtics or the Rangers... depending on the night...as me Da learned to...
(He was from a mixed family y'see...)

Dad moved across the pond in the late 60's to another part of the Commonwealth and he became naturalized, but always kept a bit o' the accent. I've been told I can keep up with the Glasgow patter... when pressed, so I hope it should be an easy transition.

Visiting primarily to see the sights I've always just heard of, but hoping to experience each place naturally; without too much of the touristy end. Obviously would prefer to stay with a true Glaswegian, but surfers cannae be choosers. Certain sites are on my list, but I would like to know the best parts in between.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I like to build stuff... I'm regularly working on various projects, ranging from automotive to carpentry and all things in between. Such projects including working on and driving older vehicles ('84 Tran Am, '89 Blazer-RIP), building different furniture (favourites are a Dr. Seuss style bookshelf for my twin nieces, and an end table made from a broken Fender guitar), refinishing rooms in the house (latest was adding a bathroom), working on a Mahogany games table for my mom (to play games like cribbage, card games and chess). I wish I wrote more, and played some of my guitars.

- I try to see the best of what my region has to offer (albeit intermittent in small bursts). I get to enjoy the Rocky Mountains and the Albertan Prairies for such activities as: camping, hiking, gardening, pruning and felling trees, rock-climbing, snow boarding, white-water rafting, fishing (also ice-fishing), and taking in the view whist driving or riding through.
