Overview
About Me
I am an artist inspired by life and dedicated to becoming a member of the global community. Raised on a farm in south western Washington in the United States, I raised and trained horses with my loving family. When I decided to go off to college, I choose to move to Seattle where I have resided for the past 9 years. It's also where I met the man of my dreams. Together we've decided to see the world, and are currently doing so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Recently, my (absolutely amazing, fantastic, and all around wonderful) partner and I quit our jobs and have started traveling the globe.
As new members to the global community, we are hoping to meet some new people, experience some new cultures, and enjoy the company of like minded people who love indulging in the spirit of adventure.
We want to meet locals and explore things off the beaten path. We're looking to couchsurfers as a means of achieving these once in a lifetime experiences, as well as an opportunity to make some new friends.
Interests
Painting, sculpting, woodworking, printmaking (traditional intaglio, lino, reduced block, relief, Sōsaku-hanga), cooking, singing, riding horses, attending concerts, hiking, and exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
Goodness! There's so much to cover here.
Music: pretty much anything with a beat. I have to admit that on the top of my list are artists such as David Bowie, ZZ Top, Rise Against, Jimmy Buffet, Streetlight Manifesto, Amanda Palmer, and many, many more.
Movies: Pretty much anything Mel Brooks touches is gold. I'm also quite fond of Wes Anderson's work. Comedies and B-rated science fiction is really my cup of tea.
Favorite Movie: Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension
Books: now that's a rabbit hole. I love science journals. Love love love. Again, sci-fi is very close to my heart. I'm also a fan of historical fiction and the fantastical.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In one year, I climbed a mile into the earth at the ice caves in Bend,Oregon, and summited the Sun Temple just outside of Mexico City.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quite handy with a hammer and saw, and am very familiar with many processes and materials. I pride myself on being able to build (or fix) almost anything. Cooking is also one of my strong suits and I love experimenting with new ingredients.
I also love discussing art history.
So if a delicious dinner with wine and good discussion is high on your list of "things to do" this year, please consider hosting my partner and I!
