About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the world, to learn more about other people and cultures, and to discover more about myself.

ABOUT ME

I try my best to enjoy life, and it has worked out pretty well so far! I like to explore and find new places, to meet new people and find out about how they see the world. I'm always trying to do what I like, and to like what I do.

PHILOSOPHY

Try and do one thing everyday that scares you.
Try and make the best of a situation.
Most of the time you have to make a mistake or two to learn anything.
Anything in life worth having takes some work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently traveling in Taiwan, though have an apartment near the capital (until mid March 2015) that my roommate and I are willing to host people in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing much yet, but hope to be able to help out travelers whenever I can and hopefully meet and stay with some interesting people around the world.

Interests

I like to keep active, whether it's cycling or hiking or throwing a frisbee around. I also enjoy a good conversation, whether deep into the philosophical realms or about the best way to cook potatoes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Emancipator, Gramatik, Fela Kuti, Bela Fleck, Mel Brown, Jurassic 5, Pretty Lights, the list goes on. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music and enjoy quite a bit of it.

Books: The Education of Little Tree, Dune, Harry Potter, Monkey wrench gang, the river why, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked Machu Picchu
I completed a triathlon
I once worked 400 hours in 4 weeks on a fishing dock

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to learn if you're willing to teach!

I can teach you something about music theory, or how to play a riff or two on the mandolin. I'm fairly well versed in a fair number of environmental issues as well, and am always up for a good conversation or new point of view!

Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates
