About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be excellent to each other!

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easygoing guy. I'm from a small town in Vermont that's very isolated. Moving to Nashville was a huge step for me, but I still want to broaden my horizons and meet people from different cultures around the world.

I studied Entrepreneurship at Belmont University, and am utilizing that education as best as I can in my current & future employment. I love new business ideas and am passionate about the environment, so I hope to find a way to fulfill those passions.

PHILOSOPHY

i can't break this down in a short blurb. find out more if you stay on my couch.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm participating by providing my couch for people to stay at when they're in Nashville, as well as staying at other surfers' couches in my own travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed once in Munchen and it was a great experience! I look forward to doing it more!

Interests

doing cool stuff that helps make positive change (that's my career), learning from people in ways I don't expect, making & (more importantly) drinking really good beer, hiking, backpacking, outdoorsy stuff, music (like a lot of music).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies include multiple genres, such as comedies like "bill and ted's most excellent adventures" and "office space," foreign films like "waltz with bashir," and "les choristes," dramas like "braveheart," the list goes on.

The latest books I've enjoyed have been Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead", Greg Mortenson's "Three Cups of Tea," and Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment.

I can't narrow my music down too much, so I'll just name a few bands that pop in my mind over the next thirty seconds: Alex Dupree and the Trapdoor Band, Mountain Goats, Sigur Ros, Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Peter & the Wolf, Tim Fite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. No sleep on a flight from D.C. to Munich, got there with a backback and the clothes on my back. It was snowing, and I met a friend there. We hiked to the top of a long trail an had the best beer I have ever imagined.

2. Every day has something that leaves me in a different place if I decide to try to learn something from the people around me.

3. I live with a band so ridiculous shit happens all of the time...
