About Me

Hey everyone!

My name is Corina, called Coco by friends and family so feel free to call me Coco! :)
I am studying International Cultural and Business Studies in south of Germany. My parents are orginally from Poland, that's why speak polish! I love to play music e.g. guitar and singing. It's a good start to get to know people if your a foreigner too. I am very fascinated by the spanish language as well as the latin american culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A lot of my friends made good experience travelling through the world couchsurfing. They were fascinated by how helpful and nice all the people were.. So I thought I'll give it a try too. Now as I gathered my first experience too I can say I really enjoy getting to know new places with the help of locals. I think they add so much more authentic feeling while travelling. The places are not just the palces. It's about the people living there. At least that's what I think :-)

Interests

As I already wrote I do music. I play the guitar, I like to sing. I sung in a choire in Santiago de Chile and am currently singing in a choire in Germany. I play the flute also. I write and participate in Poetry Slams from time to time. I'm outgoing but I also love taking my book with me, get a coffee, sit in the park and observe people living their life. I am very interested in new cultures and other ways of life. I didn't really had the oppurtunity to travel as much - until now. I will get to know the world and new people! And make new friends!
I recently got into yoga and running. So that's a new passion of mine I am always happy to talk about or share experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Well Music. Actually I like all kind of music. It depends on my mood, weather and the people I am spending time with. I am very open when it comes to music taste and love to get to know new genres. I listen to everything from acoustic music, to clasical music, to 90's, Oldies, Jazz, Latin, Reggaeton, Queen Beyonce haha, ...

I love to watch me some good documentaries.
Movies I would watch again and again: Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Kill Bill, Snatch, Schindlers List, Mary Poppins, Grease, Rosmaries Baby, Mama Mia, Sin City, Dirty Dancing, The Big Lebowski.

There's always time to read. Actual reading over audiobooks, definetly!
Books I will always remember: La Dame aux Camélias, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Beloved Corinna, Harry Potter, Wuthering Heights, 11 minutes, The Zahir, Metamorphosis, Die Insel der Linkshänder, Siddhartha, Madame Bovary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked as an Au Pair in Madrid for 10 months, took care of 4 children, learned what being patient really means, learned spanish and fell in love with the city.

What I Can Share with Hosts
