About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ser quem eu sou e aceitar as diferenças

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be as good enough and live the precepts of the Yoga: yamas and nyamas.
The first of them is Ahimsa (Non-violence), which means not harming other people or other sentient beings. Not harming onesself. Not harming the environment. Tolerance even for that which we dislike. Not speaking that which, even though truthful, would injure others.
As you can see, it's a very difficult precept and I am trying to concentrate on it for the present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I intend to meet people round the world since I decided to travel to a lot of places from now on. Besides, I would like very much offering a couch to people from other places and know different cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newcomer in CS.

Interests

Meeting people, going to the cinema, practicing yoga and pilates, walking around, reading, staying beside a river or a tree, taking care of my grand-son, getting to know new restaurants and places, getting to know people and their way of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like jazz and brazilian bossa-nova and MPB.
The most recent film I loved was Michael Moore'a Capitalism: a love story.
Books: Isabel Allend's novels, Marcus Zuzak's "A Menina que roubava livros" (I read it in portuguese).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have dived in Fernando de Noronha and seen beautiful places and beings there. I have visited Chapada da Diamantina, which is a very nice rough place in Bahia.
I have lived in Rio for 40 years and know every ground of sand wich is there (not so far, ok...)

Teach, Learn, Share

I like cooking very much and can cook moderately well, but I can do an unforgetable feijoada (Brazilian black beans cooked with many kinds of meat).
I practice yoga and like footing.
I can take care of children very well.
I would like to learn how to act (yes, in stages or theaters). I think I am a frustrated actress.
