I'm curious, open-minded and love to discover new places and meet different people but also to be alone and relaxing at home. A few years ago I did an amazing 18 months round the world trip. I quit my job and my flat, sold my car and furniture and bought a one way ticket over the ocean. I fully enjoyed this ultimate freedom. Focusing on some more stability but not done exploring I than moved to New Zealand with Jesse (https://couchsurfing.page.link/P88ZeLiE9RUwfkwX7), my partner I met traveling.

To still stay in the vibe of traveling we hosted people at our place in Wellington and organised a meetup in the city once a fortnight.

After Jesse and I got married we moved to Switzerland where we are now living with our son Daryan (born in July 2019). The appartment we live in now is pretty small so at the moment we are more surfing than hosting. We are planning to move to Australia at some point and hope to have the opportunity again to host surfers.

I like to meet locals when I am traveling, they help me to experience new places in a different way. I also think it is nice to get in touch with people you probably wouldn't meet in any other way and all of a sudden you end up in their house and they let you be part of their life.

Hard to pick one, some highlights were a roadtrip from Switzerland to Russia and Finnland with my 20 year old car, hiking the Kalalau Trail in Kauai on my own, seeing Orcawhales in freedom, hitchhiking through Alaska, jumping out of an airplane by myself and experiencing the pureness of people in Myanmar.
