I'm a contract archaeologist so I travel for work and I travel for fun! I travel solo quite a bit but I am also known for wrangling in friends and family to travel with me! I am always willing to meet up in my town or visiting towns, I love making new friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a trip to Iceland with my sister and I want her to have an authentic Icelandic experience by spending at least a few of our nights with locals!

Interests

I love hiking and being outdoors as much as possible. I photograph everything, I don't think I'm very good yet but I'm working on it! I also love scuba diving and snorkeling, honestly if it's an outdoor activity of any kind I'm interested.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Great Gatsby; The Icelandic Sagas (nerd alert); I also enjoy picking up new non-fiction books - currently reading about the history of the Rum trade!

I love folk music, I think listening to local musicians is one of the best ways to get to know a new place. I am not too big of a fan of extremely heavy metal or emotional rock but I'll give anything a listen!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not quite sure what amazing things I have done but I do know that one of my favorite travel days was spent in Cinque Terre with my sister. We woke up and had breakfast then spent the rest of the day hiking from town to town and eating along the way. We spent over four hours eating dinner on a hillside in Manarola and it was just perfect.
