About Me
I am just finishing my semester abroad in Bangkok and plan to travel through other SEA countries in the beginning of the new year.
I am originally from a super small town in Germany but they region where I lived, the Mosel Valley, has been voted the most romantic spot in Germany a couple of years ago:D !(And it actually is quite beautiful and idyllic)
I currently study in Mannheim which is right next too one of Germany's most famous touristy towns, Heidelberg.
Unfortunately I can't host myself when I'm back home, since I live in a super tiny One-bedroom apartment.
But if you ever come to Germany and want to see fairytale castles and vineyards as far as the eye can see, I got you covered;)
Can't wait to meet some awesome Couchsurfers 🙌🏼
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started using couchsurfing when I was traveling through the US in 2015 and I met many awesome people and one of the Couchsurfers is now a really good friend :)
Interests
I'm not huge on partying. I will go to a bar once in a while and even to club for special occasions or if its super fancy and I feel like I just have to see it once but generally I avoid those places.
I love taking (mediocre) pictures of everything I see and enjoy exploring new places.
I am super open and talkative when I meet one or two new people at a time but a little more shy in group settings.
My perfect weekend would either be exploring a new city or country and checking of as many landmarks and attractions of my bucket list as possible or just to be hermit at home reading a really good fantasy book.
Depends on my mood and my travel budget ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz and Swing; Harry Potter ✨
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took part in a Hot Air Ballon ride in Laos and the view was most one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen! (When it comes to the scenery and nature Laos is definitely my favorite Asian country so far), not sure if that counts as amazing though.
I was also a wine queen in Germany for a year 👸🏼 :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I feel everyone on CS has a signature dish that they can teach people how to make.
Well sorry to disappoint but I hate cooking and also fail gloriously when I attempt to do it.
I can teach you how to tie your shoe laces really fast though lol (Legend has it that you can save 24 hours of your lifetime by ditching the traditional *The bunny jumps through hole" method and start doing it my way)
And obviously I could always teach you some German ;) I am actually quite interested in languages so I can tell you lot of random facts or funny words combinations and how they came to etc. of the German language.
