About Me
I became a Humanitarian Aid worker after 10 years in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. I used to live in Venice, CA but I can't figure out how to change that on my profile. I'm currently on assignment in South Sudan and expect to be here until mid-January 2017. I love traveling and good food and great wine. I also enjoy a really cold really good beer. I get R&Rs every ten weeks and a majority of that is solo travel. So I'm on Couchsurfing to be able to meet people in strange places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel solo often for my R&Rs. It's nice to meet up with people.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: It's a mix of things. I like a lot of indie bands, but then after being in grad school with twent-somethings recently, I have discovered a love of pop music. I always love Blues and Jazz and I might be starting a classic country phase. To be determined.
MOVIES: Lost in Translation, Once, Noises Off, Joe vs The Volcano, Stranger than Fiction, Casablanca, Gladiator. Too many to list.
BOOKS: Michael Connely's Bosch series, How to be a Woman, Silver Linings Playbook, Dearie (biography of Julia Child), The Island, Moveable Feast, The Sun Also Rises. And of course cheesy trashy romance novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled up the Amazon River in Brazil solo on an open air boat to get back to Manaus. No communication, not 100%sure I was heading to the right place even but found my way all on my own. :)
