Hey everyone!! I'm a 22 year old swim teacher from Melbourne with a passion for all things outdoors! I love hiking and biking and skiing and swimming in the mountains, beach or desert! I'll take it all!
I have a real passion for the environment and outdoors and in an effort to live as sustainably as I can I eat a mostly vegan diet.

I'm an out there kind of a person who loves bright colours, belly laughs and goofy grins.

I'm travelling at the moment in some time off while leading a German exchange program, but I did most of my travels last year after doing six months of study in Berlin. I think travel is best when you meet locals and amazing people everywhere you go and I therefore spend most of my time getting around through hitchhiking, and of course staying with locals on couchsurfing!

I am studying arts and primary education at uni, with a focus on international studies (international development, climate change) and German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well as we all know meeting real people lets you understand real places in a whole new way and I think everyone on Couchsurfing understands that getting to know locals is the best way to experience any place. I am couch surfing so that I can meet new and interesting people during my travels which I honestly am more interested in than even visiting the places themselves, life's all about the people you meet if you ask me! I love being with and learning about how everyone everywhere is so unique and sharing in their lives and loves!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a huge range of music and basically just chose it based on my mood, but I mostly listen to soulful vocals and some folky dance tunes.
The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy is the best book I've read in the last couple of years by a long shot. This year I was introduced by a couch surfing host to a recent Czech film called The Teacher that really blew my socks off, but I'll enjoy just about any film if watching with someone who likes them too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Despite all the travel I've now experienced overseas, my heart and happy memories when I think about them always seem to come back to Australia. So I think that the Larapinta trail (an amazing two week hike in central Australia) is still my number one amazing thing. That is my ideal, being able to walk with friends through the most insanely beautiful landscapes with everything on my back and see the most gorgeous stars every night!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you bits of English and German, bits about Australia, walks in Australia etc. I'm a swimming teacher and am all for jumping into just about any water cold or warm for a paddle, splash or lesson! I'd love to share my love for the outdoors and am keen to learn anything as long as those teaching me are passionate about it!
