ABOUT ME

Huh, well. I've been to 45 states. I play paintball when I can, and I love playing music. 9 years on the drums, 3 on the guitar. I love writing. I like reading. I like traveling, obviously. I like Brautigan.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep the living easy. Don't step on toes. Be mindful of what you say. Open the door for people. Carry a lady's luggage. Keep it down for the neighbors. Relax. Mind your Karma. And always keep in mind: Shit Happens. C'est la vie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm pretty new to the idea, but I think I'm just going to try to pass on my small wealth of knowledge to others and hopefully gain as much as possible from others. Connect people. Travel with the people I meet and meet as many others as I can. I like networking.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've so far only stayed on one couch from CS. Brett, Skot, Ria, and Brian put us up for a few days and showed us around in San Francisco. They were all great and we had some of the best times from the entire trip in those few days.

Interests

Isn't this kind of like the "All about you" section?
Music-wise: I love swing, slow jazz, old rock, new rock, indie, some pop if it has a good remix, electro, funk, soul. I like those things that make you want to move. I can listen to country, and just about everything else, coming from a small town in Oklahoma, actually being 31 miles east of McAlester. Quinton, OK, population 1341. It's been a trip, this life, but it's taught me to appreciate everything I can. Everything has its beauty. You just have to look or listen closely.

Sports? I like basketball. Go Celtics. Paintball: Stockholm Joy Division, San Diego Dynasty, Portland Naughty Dogs, Manchester Shockwave, XSV. It goes further into Football with your feet and a few other things. I like to delve into whatever I can and am always trying something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Wes Anderson films. Ghost Dog. Goodfellas. Most Depp films. Never been big on the television set. I've not seen most classics.

Music: Arctic Monkeys, The Rascals, The Last Shadow Puppets, CSS, Justice, Futuristic Prince, Fonzie, Work, TV on the Radio, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, The Seatbelts, The Zombies, Charlie Patton, Muddy Waters, Dizzy Gilespie... This list could go from classical to old blues into the sixties, sit there for a while, marinate, catch up to modern times, get lost in watching the lights, then fall over trying to keep up. I enjoy music. It's who I am. Music. It's in us. It's what we are.
