Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find inspiration from the peoples of the world
ABOUT ME
I don't travel much. Rather I enjoy living in different places, and really getting inspiration from the lives of various people, and, hopefully, sharing some of my own in exchange.
PHILOSOPHY
"Ya le savoir qui mène au pouvoir, entre les deux il y a l'action." (Massilia Sound System) I try to stay in the action, on the thin line between knowledge and power. When I make choices in life, I usually picture myself as an old storyteller surrounded by children. Which story would I rather tell?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I rave to everyone I know about it. Hosted a few people in the past couple years. Hoping to host again, when and if I have a home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed in Mexico, in Bolivia and in the US. A few unofficial surfs at friends of friends on bike trips in Canada. While travelling, I met wonderful human beings who became true friends. Got my mom, almost 80, to host a friend of mine this year! Enjoyed a hosting festival between my roommate and I in spring 2010.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Chat noir, chat blanc and all of Emir Kusturica, Americano de Carlos Ferrand, J'ai tué ma mère, Le jour avant le lendemain, Humiliados y ofendidos, Un cargo pour l'Afrique, etc.
Music: eclectic taste, from gypsie to Fabulous Trobadors to Richard Desjardins, musica chaquena, mostly festive music
Books: (Wish I devoted more time to reading novels) mostly reading Mondialisation.ca and ERBOL
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a mountain: hiking, climbing, ice, rock and all. It was a modest mountain, it was 17 years ago, but it is still a reference to me when I fear something new.
I also inherited a gift for communicating with pigs: amazing I'd say, though not too useful. Otherwise, I have a rational thinking pattern
Teach, Learn, Share
Would like to join in any local aikido practise as a visitor. I seem to have become a "crêpes" expert, without being fully aware of it. Anyhow I'd be happy to cook some "crêpes" in your home if I can find the ingredients!
