I'm a forest scientist and outdoorsman, who loves to be around people almost as much as he loves being in nature.

My other hobbies include good beer, live music, bad dancing, spicy food, playing catch, gardening, dog related activities, and libations in general.

I don't like losing, liars, kale, hard drugs, or poorly maintained engines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm making my way cross country on the biggest move of my life from Baton Rouge, LA where I just finished my Master's to Corvallis OR where I will be starting my PhD in mid June.

After I make my way through TX and couch surf the old-fashioned way, with old friends and family, I'm hoping that this site can help me find cool people to crash with in Colorado, Idaho, and Oregon to help ease the financial burden of moving.

I have a dog, Beaux, who is a sweetheart of a boxer-lab mix. (see photos) We will be doing some camping and he's a pro, so if you don't want him in your house he can sleep in his tent outside.
