Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2015 I quit my job, bought a one-way ticket to London and spent three months traveling and couchsurfing around Europe. It was an amazing time. I met many people who continue to be close friends (they promised to visit me in Boulder soon!). I'm grateful to couchsurfing for making that trip possible for me.

I had many people tell me that couchsurfing seemed sketchy or intimidating, like it might be safer or more reliable to just stay in hostels. But the one weekend I stayed in a hostel was waaayyy sketchier than couchsurfing. I've absolutely loved connecting with people on here and I hope to be hosting and visiting many more of you in the future.

Interests

I like growing—understanding how people reach their potential in different ways and seeing what I can learn from them. I'm very curious, I ask many questions, I'm chill and down to earth, and I make deep connections with people quickly. I'm always ready for jokes and laughter and I like surprises.

Music: Hip hop is my main musical love— but I'm into funk, dancehall, reggae, anything with a good beat and a rhythm that makes me want to dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in 2014 I quit my job and started a 30-day Bucket List that I made in the weeks leading up to my last day. I interviewed a bunch of people, especially people much older than me, and asked them what they thought I should do in these 30 days to grow, expand my understanding, go outside my comfort zone, and shift the needle of my life. Those 30 days were absolutely amazing. I spoke in front of a huge crowd, I took a group of 30 strangers to NYC on a school bus, I started a new career path, I met a new group of friends and future housemates, and I grew a lot internally.
