ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small town where nobody leaves. It's a tiny liberal blue dot in the sea of conservative red in Indiana. Everybody knows everybody and it stays that way. After I turned 20 something happened and I became obsessed with everywhere else. I love that I've been privileged enough to explore the world and still have the small town welcoming me home. A lot of people have careers, I have a strong work ethic and a hobby that dominates my life. I do stand up comedy both at home and in my travels and it often becomes a fun reason to go out and laugh over some drinks.
PHILOSOPHY
Humility is key in life, never allow your ego to become a tyrant. Also, typically our reactions to events, whether unfortunate or fortunate, don't equal out to the actual significance of the events themselves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to hear and tell stories about what we've all been through. Being from a small town it's nice to hear about other people and their crazy lives for once. I respectfully try to help in a way too. If you have some project or daily chores I never hesitate to offer my help.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met a few people couch surfing and they've all been great hosts and friends. I mostly used to stay in hostels when traveling but I try to switch it up and get more involved with the community.
Interests
Obviously humor is huge for me. I have surfed and enjoyed it a lot, also I grew up skateboarding in the summer (don't worry though, my skills aren't impressive.) I love nearly all genres aside from country, I like jazz, hip-hop, classical, classic rock, etc. The beach is always great, actually most outdoor activities are ideal.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly read nonfiction like philosophy, history, and books observing religion. I love music from classical and orchestra to jazz and big band, reggae, and some rap/hip-hop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I come from a very dysfunctional family and now having lost contact with them, I find that the stories I'm left with are interestingly hilarious. Also I cherish the time I spent in Venezuela when I was 21, that country is very intriguing and some of the stories from that stay are scary (and funny of course). But mostly I'm excited for what I have yet to see.
Teach, Learn, Share
I tend to share anything asked of me about my experiences, and enjoy doing it. I love to hear about other people and their struggles/accomplishments, it's nice to be reminded that I'm not alone.
