I love the books from Günter Grass, Heinrich Böll, John Irving, Arthur Schnitzler and Milan Kundera.
Joachim Ringelnatz and Ernst Jandl made great experiments with the german language in their poems - can't get enough of them.
as far as music is concerned I like feist, jack johnson, matt costa, irving, bob dylan, the kinks, yusuf islam (formerly cat stevens), the cardigans, travis, marcy playground, amadou et mariam and so forth...
most of the films I watch are independent ones. breathless or clockwork orange are one of my favourites.
