Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

...3 days before my leaving for Erasmus in Warsaw:
-Polsih guy:"...and you have to know that I am a couchsurfer...so for 2,3 days you can sleep in my place.."
So my reaction...typical italian thinking..."There is something of strange..." and asking to my friend who has already known this site;he answered me:
-My friend:"Be careful Cosimo...couchsurfing means that you have to share the same bed with that person...so.........."
-Me:"I knew...there was something of strange...it was impossible..."
-My friend:"...ahahahaahah...Cosimo you are so stupid...open your mind!!!It means that there are persons that want to help you and want to have contact with other culture...so be quiet!!"
And I have lived with that polish guy since september...and I have finally understood the real sense of couchsurfing!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have just started my great journey with this site. My current-temporary-erasmus flatmate showed my how it is working and how much fun you can have with hosting people. I hope so I will follow his steps and become an active member of this community.

Interests

Everything that allow me to have a direct contact with the country that I visit...so, as italian, what else if not the food?!?!!?...and I like very much sport, exspecially football and boxing,and to dance salsa...and after 6 months in Poland...vodka too!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surviving my first real winter in Poland. Maybe for you it is a little bit silly, however for my this is really something. But now I know that i can manage to survive even when it is -20.... But I still don't know how can i cover my face

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Italian. Here in Warsaw I have already become a teacher of this beautiful language to some guys and I think they didn't regret spending time with me. We are still in contact even though I'm coming back to Rome next days.
And, of course.... I can teach you how to prepare real Italian dishes ;-) Pasta, mi piace!
