ABOUT ME
I can connect with many people instantly; I'm just that kind of person. I was invited by 5 different families - strangers - who welcomed me into their homes while I traveled around South Africa for more than 2 months. *grateful*
I literally have friends ALL OVER the world and I love it! Friends from traveling, friends from working in Japan, friends from studying in China....
I am fun, adventurous, spontaneous, serious, resourceful...particular, stubborn, anal...
Have traveled to as many countries as my age...I think, I sort of lost track. Last May, realized that I needed to reanalyze my life. Left my very successful family business to travel and eventually hope to end up in Beijing. Last day of work was 12/31 and basically said good-bye to everyone and everything I knew. Left on 1/1/10 and have been on the road ever since. Plan to travel until summertime before I will settle.
*** Update, it's November 2010 and I'm still traveling! I suppose traveling until the summer wasn't going to be enough...Started my round-the-world trip in Hong Kong --> South Africa, Lesoto, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, England, Russia, Jordan, Egypt, Spain, Germany, France, Turkey, Greece and currently in Italy. Back to Spain then NYE in Vilnius, spend the beginning of the year in South America before I go back to the US and then to Beijing in summer 2011***
PHILOSOPHY
Need to be true to yourself first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to meet more CS...I am not desperate for a couch and occasionally try to surf when I am looking to meet people in the town...I went to my first CS party when I was in Rio for Carnival and met a lot of fun people there. Hope to participate and meet more CS...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hope to have more! Just had my first and my host, Carmen, was incredibly generous and helped me to see the brighter side of the city after being ripped off...

Music, Movies, and Books
Just finished 4 Hour Work Week. I love watching movies but can never remember them...I know movie buffs are cringing; but that's how I am. I enjoy reading though books seem to add too much weight to my 15kg limit on Ryan Air! Right now I am reading a book on 4 young women in Saudi...I'd really like to read Nelson Mandela's Memoirs...probably when I'm no longer traveling...have you seen that book?
