About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel as much and as far as I can to share my experiences with others, learn from them and discover their cultures and customs. I currently am travelling in Asia to photograph and produce documentaries about the local people and their lives.

ABOUT ME

I am easygoing, sociable and always open for new experiences!
I was born in Cologne, Germany in the early nineties but grew up in Southwest France until the age of 17. Therefor, I consider myself more French than German but if I'd have to declare myself of any nationality at all, I'd probably say citizen of the world.
I lived in many places and try to travel as much as I can to see how others live elsewhere.
From early on I've always been passionate about film and photography and I've recently been able to make my passion become my work, after founding a film production company with my brother in Toronto, Canada.
I now wanted to combine both my passion for photography and for travelling and decided to leave for Asia to capture how people live on this side of the planet. I hope to meet many new faces and be able to share my experiences with them.

PHILOSOPHY

I love life, am thankful for every day and try to enjoy as much as possible.
I think there shouldn't be any borders between people. We should come together and share our knowledge, experiences and customs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by sharing my knowledge and my experiences with the people who will let me surf their couch! I'm always ready to give a hand and help the people who welcome me. I want to contribute in making couchsurfing.org a safe and reliable platform by maintaining good relationships with other surfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My best Couchsurfing experience so far was during a big trip I made through Portugal and Morocco. I stayed at a couchsurfer's in Lisbon and we connected right away. Another couchsurfer joined us and we moved together down to the South of Portugal, near Faro, to his summer house. We totally connected even tho all of us were of different ages, nationalities and had different interests... It was great!

I also met a Moroccan couchsurfer in Chefchaouen -small village in the mountains- and was surprised how there's couchsurfers really everywhere around the world!

I recently stayed in Istanbul for a month and happened to stay at one couchsurfer's for two full weeks. We became good friends and shared many things.. I'm happy we got together and he taught me so much about his city.

Interests

I love to travel more than anything else. I'm passionate by film and photography, but actually by ART in general. I love to listen to good music, of whatever genre, and to create with -or to learn from- other people. I enjoy delicious food and drinks, going out and partying!
However, I think what motivates me most is the interaction with others, wether it is chilling at home, having a drink at the bar or walking around town.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I did could be learning how to make hashish from the locals in the Moroccan mountains. Being up there in the middle of the fields, in a small barn, surrounded by people who barely speak your language but who are teaching you a local skill was a truly unique experience.

I have to say though that I'm living one amazing thing after the other everyday as I travel more through Asia!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach others what I know, wether it is about a language/culture that I'm familiar with or a skill that I control, like film or photography!
I would also love to learn more about the local cuisine and the customs in the countries I visit!
