About Me

CURRENT MISSION

PHILOSOPHY

Stretch. Rest. Grounded. Together. In/with/beyond my/our multiplicities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to the pandemic and current living conditions, I am unable to host right now. Happy to provide advice or insights into travel in Orlando and Florida more generally.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been overall super positive,, met great people and stayed on comfy couches:) except this one time in Krakow when I got left out in the cold and ended up staying in an old synagogue. Who'd've thunk it'd happen so?!?

Interests

I enjoy theatre, dance, literature, film, music, visual art, philosophy, theology, good foodstuffs, whisky, coffee and tea. I like sports (baseball, lacrosse and soccer are my favorites), but nowadays I don't pay attention to professional sports at all, and happily just ride my bike, play pool and swim in pools and flee to the sea whenever it tickles me!

I'm really into any kind of water. I privilege the natural types - rain, lake, ocean, creek, stream, river, pond, sea; but also pools, tanks, sprinklers, etc. etc.

I guess I spend most of my time seeking human encounter, and on rare occasion I remember to look up at the sky --- and then I spend at least a moment seeing and remembering the awesome Creativity manifest in Creation, in Life.

I also love bridges.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2005 I saw the Israeli Government demolish three Palestinian houses in Bethlehem in one afternoon to make room for the wall being built in the West Bank. The families, whose homes were being demolished, as well as their community, watched and protested as it happened.

That was quite amazing. Such reckless disregard for human rights and human dignity unfolded before my very eyes.
