About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Love my wife, learn languages and live somewhere new and exciting ( somewhere far, far away )

ABOUT ME

I'm slightly crazy. Honestly, I think that I just love my life, and want to be very very happy. I am one of 6 children, spent most of my life in Wilmington, NC. I was homeschooled for most of my early life, then I went off to high school and I became a social butterfly, haha. I studied Computer Science and Spanish at UNCW. I originally didn't plan on Spanish, but it 'just happened,' you know? It was one of those things.

So I started traveling abroad at 20 and have never been the same. Visited Chile for 5 weeks. Fell in love. Returned for 1 year. Lived in South Korea teaching English for two years and met my lovely wife at work.

I want to study Linguistics in the future.

I skateboarded for like 10 years, I like to sing karaoke, I like (delicious) coffee, reading lots of interesting things... Listening to good music (read: eclectic), talking a lot, walking fast, being alone sometimes, reading wikipedia pages, smiling at strangers and people watching, stuff like that. I like to know and be known... Maybe it's just the human side of me that wants to know people that I see, no matter if I will ever see them again.

PHILOSOPHY

Learning how to love others... The majority of my time seems to be spent doing otherwise and trying to love better next time. Have you ever taught children? I've only just begun to learn apparently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been helped by innumerable people in this way, not so formally, but it was essentially the same. If someone wants somewhere to stay then I'll help. Later, it will be I who will be looking for a couch. It's called Karma, my friends ;) Or you could call it: love thy neighbor... Which is actually far less selfish than the former since it doesn't really imply that any goodness is gotten this side of eternity. Either way, it's a full-time job!

Interests

Coffee, books, people, talking, traveling, communicating with people, loving people and life.

We're all going to die, but I just think I should do something with my life. I might be doing it all out of fear when it comes down to it. I think I'm afraid of living a mediocre life, so I have to live a crazy life. Crazy. Crazy not in the "I'm a lunatic" way... More like crazy in the "You're crazy if you don't enjoy the time you've been given on this earth."

Lived in Seoul, South Korea for two years, my wife is Korean, lived in Chile for 1 year, seeing Perito Moreno, in Argentina, Machu Picchu in Perú, learning Spanish, growing up in a large family and being homeschooled...
