About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To simplify life as much as possible in an increasingly complex world.

ABOUT ME

Quiet, considerate and clean. I do love to engage in conversations and trade stories. If requesting to surf my couch, it's important to me that you're gay-friendly. I welcome and respect all orientations and have no interest in changing anyone.

In your couchsurfing request, if you mention a couple of details you found interesting in my profile, I'm more likely to accept your request.

I'm a vegetarian and tend to like the softest possible sofa or mattress. (I don't see how anyone can get a good night's sleep on a lumpy old sleeper sofa or futon.) Otherwise, I'm very low-maintenance. Okay, sometimes I sleep really late. I enjoy relaxing, talking, just being at home.

The METRO BUS STOP is in front of my condo building, so you can get around on your own if you have the patience for the VERY SLOW bus system. In Miami it's usually better to rent a car, or use Lyft or Uber.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to connect with higher consciousness within myself and share that with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By showing people that a stranger from the USA can be trustworthy, friendly and kind.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time in Uruguay I was invited to stay for a whole month at a host's horse ranch, so I could attend his big upcoming party. Another time, in Florence, Italy, a host made an entire meal for my friend and me to enjoy, home-made authentic Italian cuisine!

Interests

Meditation, romantic comedies, sci-fi movies, singing, healthful food (I am lacto-vegetarian). Volunteer work for spiritual and LGBT causes.

Music, Movies, and Books

All kinds of music but my favorites are old standards and torch songs sung by vocalists of all generations. I enjoy movies like Meet the Fockers, Guilt Trip, Wedding Wars, Flirting with Disaster, Dances with Wolves, Heart and Souls, Christopher and his Kind, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Avatar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove from Anchorage, Alaska down to Mount Alyeska and saw the glistening, snow-covered mountains in November. Also the lush, wildflower-filled valleys of Alaska in summertime, just beyond words.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy helping people find their own spiritual bliss through meditation. Also helping them find nonviolent words to communicate what they are really feeling and needing. I'd enjoy learning more about culture and history, and health.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My very dry sense of humor, I sometimes say things that people find funny and they thank me for making them to laugh. I'm also helpful around the house if needed, and good with pets. In a pinch, if a crisis arises I can be empathetic and provide emotional support.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Aruba, Bahamas, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, France, Haiti, India, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia, Spain, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Virgin Islands, U.S.
