About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Transforming form to function.
ABOUT ME
I'm a media designer, who tries to change himself and the world around him - with big effort and some moderate success. :-) I fight against brainwashing through media and commerce although I'm still part of the system and have to watch out to keep my own feet out of the mill. But, nevertheless, I (try to) keep eyoing my life! Mostly by outdoor sports, playing piano and letting myself go when dancing, running or meditating.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to find the balance between power and weakness - or between perfectionism and catharsis.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Vansurfing, castlesurfing, shedsurfing, tentsurfing, hammocksurfing, mountainsurfing, climbingwallsurfing, trunksurfing, ... - couchsurfing with me is not always about a couch. ;-) It has become an important part of my life and gives me the possibility to connect myself to marvellous people. Couchsurfing and hitchhiking are more than hobbies for me. Both activities can be seen as a symbol for a life worth living - in a world that is rather based on sharing than on consuming.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some beautiful experiences with CS. E.g. I spent my first nights in Graz on a very comfortable couch and got to know two extraordinary people - we are still friends. In Munich I spent some time at couch surfer meetings and with an Australian CS girl. She was really excited, when showing her a total new hiking experience in Bavarian alps: running up and down a steep track when it rained cats and dogs and getting attacked by a bull... *g*
And in Hamburg, Invercargill, Wellington, Auckland and Vienna meeting couchsurfers enriched my life in many different ways...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Strange:
Had to helpe a veterinarian castrate our goats. ;-)
Marvellous :
Some really beautiful winter hiking tours with my best friend, fighting through snow that reached our chests and sleeping in a tent, almost completely burried under snow - glittering sunrises included.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could tell you lots of things about media, communication, print design, exhibition design or interactive exhibits... or about climbing, German language, vegetarian cooking by accident. :-)
