We're flatmates with separate rooms and very separate lives, but we agree on hosting! J is the primary host.

J is 40s and lived abroad for a long time.

D is 30s, has lived and traveled extensively around the U.S. He recently got his first passport and spent some time in the Ukraine, France, England and Iceland.

The cat is 6 and has traveled more than many humans have, much of it tethered to a backpack so old it says "Made in West Germany." The U.S. is her 26th country.
(J&D think it's pretentious and pointless to count countries. Anyway, how can the cat claim she visited the Czech Republic, when the only time she touched Czech soil was a brief stop south of Brno just long enough to dig a hole, defecate, and cover it back up before hitching the next ride with a Polish butcher who lives on the Isle of Mann and was driving to visit family in Katowice? Come on you pompous little feline, be real and call it 25. We'll let you count that night on the beach in Bar as having visited Montenegro.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The cat just wants to inspect more people's bags.

D & J want to host as vicarious travel. And to give back, because we've each been given such gracious hospitality.
