What happens after midnight doesn't count :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hosting the world famous (yes yes) Revival meeting every thursday at 9pm
More than 150 people show up on a weekly basis, allowing a great dynamic in CS and increased security.
Couchhosts can safely meet their guests among a friendly crowd before allowing them to stay at their place, couchsurfers can also find a last-minute place to stay or other couchsurfers to pair with for a visit of the city. Locals abond in tips about cheap/hidden/outstanding place and will gladly tell you about events not to miss during your stay
IMPORTANT NOTE:
For those looking to find hosts at Revival
1. Don't count on being hosting by someone you meet at Revival. The ideal situation is to go through the process of sending formal requests ahead of time and posting in the "Couch Needed" subgroup. Remember that personal emails and reading people's profile greatly increases your chances of finding someone.
2. If you find someone who is willing to host you.
-Ask them to explain your sleeping situation. Will you be sharing a bed? Will there be other people there? If appropriate, ask them the question "Are you interested in me?" or "Do you want to sleep with me?" Are they offering to "take you home" or "host" you as a couch surfer.
-Next. Find someone with a flag on their nametag and ask them about this person. They are Ambassadors and most of them have been coming to Revival for 6 to 18 months. They know a lot of the people that are trustworthy, and also can tell you if this is the first time they've seen this person. Can an Ambassador vouch for this person? Get a number from a back up person, in case you ever feel uncomfortable. Most Ambassadors will be happy to help you with this. Lastly, just because some one is an Ambassador, doesn't mean they are excluded from any of the above. Hopefully this will help you make a more educated decision.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been the home of The Revival Meetings since June 14th, 2007, and I've given everyone a special nostalgic smile when they had to leave NYC.
I'm nowadays the central meeting of a very energic community focused on having YOU get to see what Couchsurfing means for us: so much more than a free couch or tour guide, but a community of travelers, of friends, who want to know everything about your culture
