About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep it real

ABOUT ME

I was born here in Monterey County and have recently moved back home after many years of living and travelling. I have lived in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Denmark...but my home will always be here where the oaks and the pines grow aside the ocean. I work to travel and recently spent 3 months in Paris. Love the beautiful architecture and many layers of history surrounding that city. I am young at heart, easy going, and usually game for just about anything. If I am not travelling, I enjoy having travelers come through me...hosting is a pleasure!

PHILOSOPHY

"Do it while you can"

"figure it out when you get there!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have ridden a few couches and hosted folks as well...CS is a great way to connect and is especially useful for solo travelers who don't want to hide out in a motel room during their tour. Good people are everywhere!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have solo bicycle toured through Europe, Canada and the US and have "surfed" many-a-couch in this time. I have found the surfers I have met to be genuine and open.

Music, Movies, and Books

Just read "Old man and the Sea" and "Captain Courageous" am currently reading "The Sun also Rises" and some French phrase books. Just opened up "The life of Pi."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in the open jungle in Costa Rica...Slept in many German town parks while bicycling through the country...

Teach, Learn, Share

People that "show-up" and give everything a chance...try and sing, try and paint, try to dance, to surf...just try! People that have opinions and interests/desires are interesting to me. I also enjoy people that do not always "have" to share their opinions - I enjoy good listeners too. These people are curious people - people like myself.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States
