Hello,

I just finished my studies last June in Paris (Communication and Events specialization) and I decided to go on a road trip in Asia with my friend Aude. We are respectively 22 and 24 years old and are native from Brittany in the North West of France.

During our trip in Asia, we are particularly interested by discovering new cultures totally different from ours and meet with people who live there and so experience real life of the country.
We started our trip by Indonesia and would like to continue then with Malaysia, Thailand and Birmania (we plan to travel during 5-6 months).

A few facts about us :)
Julien : I practice kayaking and rafting (guide during summer). I am interested in music (I am a guitarist) and usually go to music festivals.
Aude : I just graduated from a business school and have lived one year in hispanic countries (Argentine and Spain), which made me want to travel more. Regarding sports, I practiced ice skating during 8 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We think that the best way to travel in an unknown country is to meet with people living there rather than going especially to very touristic places. We are open minded and sociable, and like sharing experiences with new people.
That's why we just created our account on couchsurfing, which represents an interactive website enabling to meet foreigners when we travel ourselves or when they come at home in France.

Interests

What i like :)
Kayaking and rafting : i have practiced those activities for ten years, i'm interested by a lot of water sports too.
Music : i play the guitar (i had a rock band before) and love going to music festivals.
I am also interested by traveling, and the arts of cinema and photography.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach french culture (history, the basic language, cooking (french recipes like crepes)). I can also teach guitar basics for those who would be interested.
Beyond touristic things, I can share with you many districts and cool things to do in Paris : nice bars, restaurants, museums, parks, typical streets.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a little flat with a sofa in the living room where people can sleep. I can cook for foreigners french meals to make them discover new tastes. I like going out with my friends so I can make you meet other french people if you would like to.
