Since childhood the only thing I've really wanted to do is travel. Back in the old days, this was truly something that could only be a dream for a girl. Luckily, no one had the heart to tell me that, so I plowed on toward my dream. I'm a slow learner, so it took me several years to understand that I loved living in foreign countries because the experience was so much deeper than being a tourist. That's why I visit fewer countries now, and try to stay much longer in each one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in the same house for the first 18 years, 4 months and 6 days of my life. Since escaping my childhood home I've lived in 20 countries and worked in 30 countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

Now that I'm retired, I like to teach English to adults in different countries. Since I usually don't speak the local language, it is my way to connect with local people. Hopefully I am also helping those people reach their goals for learning English.
