About Me

I am a dirtbag vagabond who lives for adventure. I have recently rediscovered my love for mountains. I enjoy hiking, mountaineering, trekking, and a tall glass of beer at the end of the day. I have also recently discovered a love for making music. I own five different stringed instruments and am always happy to meet another person who shares this passion. To make money I work as a senior Unity frontend engineer. I am good at programming but it is not my passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a poor traveler for most of my life. Thanks to the kind people of couchsurfing and the thumbing express, I have managed to see far more of the world than I ever thought possible. I now want to give this same experience to the many hungry hearted travelers of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived homeless for a month to work on a dream project and to prove that I could live that way.

Cycled the East Coast of the US

Hitchhiked Australia's coast several time

Partied in ghost town for a night in Dubai

Went to Burning Man twice

Climbed seven different 6000ers and twice as many 5000ers (meters not feet)

Spent a night sleeping at the highest point in the continental USA

Climbed Aconcogua

Teach, Learn, Share

Hablo un poco espanol.

I play music. If you want to learn the Ukulele, I am happy to teach. Its a super easy instrument to learn. I spent most of my life as a non-musical person, I know how hard it can be to start and the Uke is the best place to begin.

I have traveled the Andes a lot. If you have any questions about this part of the world, I have answers.

If you want to do a serious alpine ascent, I have a bit of experience and would be happy to share.

I love trekking and would love to share what I know. The ability to carry your home on your back while you wander the woods, gives you a level of freedom that is like nothing else.

I have traveled a on a low budget many times. I am no master, but I am happy to share what I know about vagabonding.

I love hitchhiking and have some great experiences traveling this way.

I have tour cycled before. I know a few things but not many.

I am good at programming in Unity.
