Hi there! My name is Courtney and I'm an author and healer from Australia. I formerly worked in the advertising industry as a problem solver for brands. After an unexpected spiritual awakening, I decided to jump off the corporate ladder and climb into the world of spirituality and healing.

I've written a couple of books, love to learn, read, listen to music and am have been loving traveling through the US.

While we can't host travelers at the moment because we're on the road, we've already started our search for an ultra-comfy sofa bed for when we get home! We live in the stunning Byron Bay shire which is known for its beautiful beaches and lush rainforests. Hit us up when we're back. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My family consisting of my wife Jules and our daughter Isabella (14) are traveling through the US in August, September and October. As we're travelling we'd love to meet other likeminded folks and experience the local landscape. Wet met some magic people so far and ones we would never have crossed paths with had it not been for CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tough question, but I'd have to say anything from Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones to disco. As I was growing up my dad ran a radio station so I've got an appreciation and love of most genres.

Our daughter Bella who is 14 is an aspiring singer/songwriter and we're hoping to give her some amazing musical experiences while we're away.

Favourite movies: Sleepless in Seattle, 4 Weddings And A Funeral, Jurassic Park (all of them), the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland.

Seinfeld fan. Just finished Stranger Things on Netflix and loving Big Little Lies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Nepal when I was 16 and hiking the Annapurnas.

Jules my partner went to Ecuador last year to study with shamans and healers from the high Andes.

Bella our daughter created, wrote and produced her first solo music EP last year. She sings, songwrites and plays the guitar.

Apart from spending my career in the corporate world as a strategist and problem solver for big brands, I also work in the spiritual space as a healer, author and teacher.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My personal gift even when I worked in the corporate world was to see people's potential. Now I spend my days working with the spirit world to find that thing you were born to do and remove the blocks that might be stopping you from getting there. Whether that is a lack of self-belief, self-love, traumatic past life experiences or just that you have no freaking idea what the thing is!

And while I can cook a mean curry and give decent business advice, what I'd love to do on this trip is to help as many people as possible become more of their true authentic selves.
