Hey everyone! From August 2018 to August 2019, I am pursuing an independent research/travel fellowship through my university. My research project is primarily about multiracial identity and related topics such as race and cultural relations in different countries. Over the course of this year, I've been traveling to countries throughout Asia, Europe, and South America. This year so far, I've been to 19 countries and I still have several more planned :).

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am brand new to Couchsurfing!

Since my year is all about meeting people and learning about different cultures, I thought Couchsurfing would be a great place for me to start. I wish I knew about this sooner! I heard about Couchsurfing from other people who previously did the same fellowship I'm doing who said that Couchsurfing really enriched their experience.

I'm also excited to start hosting people once I'm back home!

Not sure how much of this was something I "did" exactly but I once got invited to Desmond Tutu's 85th birthday celebration?

Otherwise, what I'm doing right now is by far the most amazing thing I've done. If you ever told me a couple of years ago that I'd get paid to travel around the world for a year at age 22, I wouldn't have believed you!
