About Me
Hi, I'm a documentary filmmaker and journalist based out of San Francisco. I've just wrapped up a film that I have been working on for 3 years (www.guardianthedoc.com), so now I am going to take a much-needed LOOONG vacation traveling through Italy all of June! I've never been to Italy and I am so excited.
Other fun facts:
- I used to be a wildlife biologist, but switched careers 7 years ago. Now I tend to make films about environmental issues.
- I've lived in New Zealand for several years, and I've worked in Ethiopia, Johannesburg, and have done stories all over the world.
- I LOVE running, kayaking, cycling-- all things outdoors :)
- I love music and art as well. I do lots of pottery and drawing in my free time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems like a great way to see a new place and explore things that guidebooks and the Internet can't show you. Also, us documentary filmmakers don't make heaps of money, so this seemed like a good way to travel on a budget so that I can spend more time exploring Italy!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm bad with favorites-- I tend to like everything! But when it comes to movies and books, I do love something that will make me laugh.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sit in Angels Pool at the very edge of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Just incredible.
