ABOUT ME

"Travel makes one modest, you can see what a tiny place you occupy in the world."

I have many passions in life and TRAVELING is definitely in the top three! One of my most memorable experiences was after college graduation when I traveled to South Africa and backpacked Europe. It was during those months that I truly felt alive and knew life was much more than working a 9-5 job. It is about giving back, embracing the culture and the people, being broad-minded, and exploring everything the world has to offer without a doubt.

After that adventure I spent a year in DC working as a mental health therapist only to realize it was not my calling. Although I loved helping my patients and made a difference in their life I didn't feel complete. So, i packed up and moved back to home-sweet-home Louisiana. I am now enrolled in a Masters program to become a teacher. It's perfect! I will be able to make a difference, and get 15 week vacation! Why hadn't I thought of it before?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted and had the opportunity to be hosted by several people and the experience was incredible! I really enjoyed it and look forward to many other couchsurfing experiences!!

I am very excited to see what it has in store for me and the people I host/surf.
