About Me
Currently trying to find my own legend and legacy.
I've been all over the U.S., thanks to countless road trips with my mother while I was growing up. I've been to Hawaii four times. Traveled to Germany and Russia for a few weeks in 2004 and stayed with friends. Spent nearly a month traveling through Costa Rica in 2007. Most recently (in Oct-Nov 2014), my husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon in St. Lucia and Martinique.
This October, we will be travel the length of Chile, starting from Valparaiso and heading all the way down to Punta Arenas, which is one of the three southernmost cities on this planet. We would LOVE to connect with any locals for a beer and/or friendly conversation! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with my fellow wordly citizens, whether they're visiting my home base from abroad or I'm traveling through their country of origin.
While I may be fortunate enough now to afford hotels, my heart still yearns to connect with the local people wherever I am in this world.
RIGHT NOW, I CANNOT HOST ANYONE :( But, I am more than happy to meet up if able!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How does anyone list just ONE experience?
- River rafting on the Pacuare in Costa Rica. I remember floating on my back in a calm section of river, staring up above, watching colorful toucans soar overhead.
- So many sunsets! The red glow of a pre-storm sun setting behind St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, or the rosy haze of dusk over the U.S. Capitol Building in DC. And let's not forget, of course, the glorious sunsets of Hawaii and St. Lucia.
- Presented a wine seminar to one of the most popular and highly regarded restaurants in St. Lucia. My husband met the restaurant owner by chance, offered up my "wine expertise," and suddenly I found myself acting as a wine teacher before an entire serving and kitchen staff!
- This is closer to home, but I went on a crazy road trip with a friend in 2011 through the Pacific NW. We started in the SF Bay Area, stayed at her father's house in Spokane WA, stayed with her aunt in Coeur d'Alene ID, then drove back down to Oregon for a week-long "beer camp" before heading back home to San Francisco.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to bellydance -- I can teach you a hip shimmy?
I'm a bit of a renaissance woman, so while I'm not an expert in ONE thing, I have pretty fair working knowledge of MANY things.
I can also talk (entirely too much) about wine, food, and various trivial facts.
What I Can Share with Hosts
