ABOUT ME
I'm just a pretty chill person. I like to sit and drink with good friends more than pretty much anything else. When I'm not hanging out with others I like to read or surf the web -- I spend a lot of time just learning about random things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed a few times so far, and I'm hoping to host once I have a permanent residence.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed in Brooklyn over the summer for four nights. Two of my friends and I were road tripping up and down the East Coast, with New York being the highlight of the trip. It was pretty much the best experience of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite media rotates in and out regularly. I'll give anything a try!
In general, my favorite movies are comedies, but I also enjoy a good action flick. The same goes for TV shows, with a few exceptions. Movies and shows I like include Parks and Rec, The Lego Movie, Steven Universe, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, Monsters Inc., Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Broad City, Thank You For Smoking, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and The Fifth Element.
I have a strange relationship with music. Even though I love it and even used to perform (marching band and indoor percussion in high school -- clarinet, marimba, and bass drum), I have a hard time actively seeking out new music to listen to. I typically just listen to Top 40 radio when I'm driving and Pandora when I'm home, but I'll give a listen to anything that's suggested to me.
As much as I love books, it's hard for me to find the time to read. Typically I like nonfiction and antique science fiction (a la War of the Worlds and Cosmicomics), but I also grew up loving Harry Potter, Good Omens, Beat the Reaper, and other fiction. Lately I've really been getting into comic books too: as of now I read Saga, Lazarus, Ms. Marvel, Rat Queens, Batgirl, and a few others here and there. I've read Y: The Last Man and I'm planning on reading Sandman as soon as I get my hands on it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ask me about science, religion, obscure historical facts, or really pretty much anything -- if I don't know the answer, I'm sure to look it up in depth and then I'll talk your ear off about it. I have a way of making pretty much any topic interesting, and I soak up information pretty effortlessly, so I make a great student as well as a teacher.
I'm eager to learn pretty much everything there is to know out there! I especially want to learn as many languages as I can.
