Moved to Singapore last 3 years after being living mainly in Tasmania and Denmark. From France, been also spending some time in Australia before (Blue Mountains and North Queensland), København in Denmark and Idaho (yes, potatoes). I hate boring hotels; I've been living in shared accomodations for 15 years so I like it as part of my travels!
Can't host at this time, owners and flatmates don't feel the same as I do about couchsurfing...

Childhood was a kind of a dream; a little medieval village in the seaside of southern French Alpes with so many stories.
School finished too fast and I realized how big is the rest of the world; since it I continuously want to discover and meet different people.
I found a way to realize with my passion; like many people I love food! I look at it as a fantastic social and cultural expression of each place.

I believe travel is not only a destination and a picture (just go for a guided tour!), most of my best memories are related to unexpected encounters and different characters. I see meeting and welcoming as part of travel experience; life would be also boring without it.

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

An old friend of mine told me about it; I started with a great trip up to Artic circle in Norway then down through Sweden. I used Couchsurfing for most of the travel and the encounteers were so great, it made my travel amasing. As I lived in turistic places before I already get many non official "couchsurfers" in my small apartments (friends, friend of friends, friend of friends of friends...). And it was great.

Love it. Can't wait to be able to host again. A travel with couchsurfing is the best.

Biology has been fascinating me as a child, always in the forest, climbing trees, reading books when home. I was also found of Geography (I mean History, culture, landscape... but also some really boring basic maps) and learn a lot on it.
So today, food & wine (and all what is related too...) is good passion to match it and enjoy life!
I am not scared to spend hours on it.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Amasing no, it was just so cool!
Discovered NYC when 19 and forget to book a hotel → 3 nights in the street, amazing time.
Scuba diving in the Coral Sea (a childhood dream, and I though it was not possible...)
Working in the world best restaurant in Denmark (it goes so fare beyond food and service)
Hobo style trip to quit my life in Scandinavia with the best conditions and special encounteers!
1 month in Papua New-Guinea without bookings, hotel and 'white man'; New England, New Ireland, Highlands and Sepik. Staid with locals and in villages. Madness met magic.
But also everyday I am so proud to enjoy a simple life in Hobart by being part of a small community.

Job = food. Wine. Basics that friends love to talk about.
Holidays = discovery, nature, history... and I'll ask people to share it with me.
Please teach something I don't know! With old friends we also discuss on what they do; computer, software, architecture, design, medicinal jokes, forest fires, police controls, bank advisements, gardening...

People always ask me about food and wine. It's ok it's my area of expertise. And I have a lot of stories about it. It's an easy to connect different cultures.
I noticed my host are often surprised by the way I travel and the stories coming from it.
