About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Actually my "the most current" mission is not to fall asleep until my washing machine stops working.. is it good enough?

ABOUT ME

Are you sure that you want to know "ALL about me"?? :P

Should I begin with the story of my favourite childhood doll which died recently in an unexplained circumstances (did you all know that toys must not be wrung especially if they are 10 years old??)
Anyway, trust me that you don't want to know all these details ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that the whole world is just a big joke so I try to play along and laugh everyday as much as I can (you do know that if someone tells a joke that you don't understand it makes you look dumb.. so at least pretend that you did get it ;) )

Although if I was asked to choose my favourite sentence I would go for:
"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." by H. Cooper
... hence I collect these moments:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

OFFICIALLY I was hosted only few times (like 4.. or 3 or 5) Nevertheless, I have spent many hours on drinking, cooking, talking, walking, dancing, singing, getting
lost with CSers.. so I do participate somehow...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I first moved out of my country I was pretty scared ;)
I did not like to not know people around me (not the smartest sentence, is it?).
Fortunately I found out about CS, I met some of the members who made me feel like home.
Since then I've been meeting lots of amazing people from all over the world through CS.

Interests

Interests- my favourite part!

I am deeply interested in the process of building these little ships inside of bottles... how do they do that???
ahh and of course in wines production, to be more precise, I am wondering why the one I made was so disgusting.

I want to know why worms come out after rain and why I do remember past not the future, why kiwi fruit crushed and mixed with milk makes it so bitter.. I want to know why sound of the sea stays in an empty seashell and how a bowl filled with water prevents me from crying while cutting onions(ha! this one I've learnt a few days ago)...
Lets stop right here for a sec- as soon as I get to one of the seven heavens and find The_Guy_Who_Knows_Everything I will make Him answer all of the question and will update my profile immediately.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoyed "Into the wild" posting the question whether the fulfilment of your dreams always makes you happy? followed by Eddie Vedder's voice... I like "Scent of a woman" with that charming dance scene and "Ray" which makes me feel like dancing.. I like "Seven", "Meet Joe Black" and "Fight Club"- not only because of Brad Pitt in all of them ..but mostly because of that ;) And I honestly adore Jack Nicholson for his diabolic eyebrows.. I love Woody Allen's comedies too!

I definitely prefer books though so... "Birdy" or "Last Lovers" by W.Wharton, all George Orwell's books, or "Lord of the Flies" by W.Golding..
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" makes me laugh and cry at the same time...
As from recently read I recommend "A brief history of time" by S. Hawking
I am a romantic girl so I like romantic girly stuff like "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "Little women", "Withering Heights" or even "Gone with the wind" ;) and many others..
I am also extremely brave so I read Robin Cook's and S. King's thrillers (and then sleep with light on) :P

I enjoy (maybe this is a little too strong expression) also books about "Financial management" so apparently I just like to read ;)

Aaaaand music!! Give me a microfoon and a bottle of wine then I will show you what the "good music" means :P

I like soul/blues "female" music e.g. Melody Gardot, Katie Melua, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy and deep strong voices like Tracy Chapman... Tori Amos has an original style and funny lyrics...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm.. The most amazing thing I've done is that... I got lost in nearly each place I have been visiting (usually not once) so I was lost in many countries... how awesome is that?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my cookie... ooor I can teach you my native language if you are crazy enough to learn Polish :) sounds like a challenge ;)
