Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission in to make others happy, to learn know things. To be there for those who need me.
ABOUT ME
I am honest, trustworthy, resourceful, and funny. I know how to do many things but am terrible at learning languages. I love to hike in the woods but am not so hot for clubbing. I like people but not crowds. I am a good cook and clean up after myself. When the zombie apocalypse comes you will want me on your team.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to travel lightly on the earth. Things become immoral when they hurt others. If I feel more whole after doing something it was probably a good thing to do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined Couch Surfing before I went on a trip in South America with friends. I met some amazing people there through CS. Since I have returned home from that trip I have not done any couch surfing, but hope to change that. I live a bit off the beaten path but I would enjoy hosting travelers if they are in this area. It is really quite nice around here!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I experience has been amazing, though not that expansive. It was great having an introduction to cities that I did not know. We were able to have an entirely different expiration than we would have had otherwise. It was more like were where in the place we were visiting, not on it.
Interests
I have done disaster relief in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina and in Haiti after the Earthquake in 2010. I volunteer with a small town ambulance and fire department. I love the outdoors: hiking, climbing trees, swimming in rivers, foraging for wild food. I like traveling (not surprisingly)and pushing my comfort zone. I like games, old fashioned games, like cards or dice on board games or acting games like charades or mafia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked across Haiti (the short direction) from Kenscough to Jacmel. It was both beautiful and difficult. We did not know where we would stay but people were always very generous with us. one night an older couple invited us to stay with them and made us sleep in their beds. We shared the food we had with them.
