ABOUT ME

I'm a Canadian ex-pat who's been living in London for more than a decade.

I've worked most of the last decade in one kind of IT job or another, but since 2010 I've been exploring other interests: photography, travel, and dancing. I've spent many summers at the Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden (www.herrang.com), travelled to other dance camps accross Europe, often as the event photographer, and now mainly work as a dance teacher here in London.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010 I spent several weeks of the summer travelling in Scandinavia and the Baltic states, staying with friends I know through my involvement in the international Lindy Hop community. It was really a lot of fun and I decided to join Couchsurfing to return the favour to other travellers.

Centres d'intérêt

Dancing: Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues, in particular.

Photography: I have taken lots and lots of pictures - mostly of people dancing.

Canal boats: I live on one - come and stay with me!

Gliding (flying sailplanes): Not had the chance to fly for the last few years, but look forward to doing this again soon.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I used to listen to a lot of Classical music (and still do from time to time), but now find I'm more moved (quite literally) by Swing.

Performed, with a friend, a Lindy Hop routine of our own devising in front of hundreds of other dancers, finally throwing an aerial in performance.
