I am a sort of a spanish-cuban hybrid who loves travelling, climbing, reading and dancing (not necessarily in that order ;)). I like joking quite a lot and I consider myself an optimist. I love mountains, which is one of the reasons why I ended up in Switzerland but I also enjoy the city life, specially discovering new places with live music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couch surfing by Thomas, an awesome irish that lived in my same residence, during my Erasmus year in Germany. He was always hosting such interesting travelers that well, I sort of figure out that I also had to take part on it!

So far I have hosted and being hosted many times and what can I say: it is just fantastic to know the places trough the eyes of their locals. It makes the travelling experience much more personal and enriching. Thanks thanks thanks to the organizers behind the website and the participants that keep cs running.

Interests

Right now I am all crazy about climbing and skiing, but on my calmer moments I love sitting aside, reading a good book. I also love dancing, specially swing and latin music, though according to a good friend I pretty much dance all kind of music. Though nature is my favorite spot, when I am in the city I really enjoy wandering around and discovering new venues. If they come with concerts/jams, theater plays or exhibitions then is just perfect.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: For some reason right now very into metal but also Jazz, blues, alternative, latin to dance, folk, rock, well I must say that whatever that is good.

Books: any any any kind! Specially read novels and try to write

Movies: Really many! As directors I love Tarantino, Tim Burton and the fantastic worlds of Hayao Miyazaki. As genre I really like SciFi, but I pretty much watch anything. What I like the least are romantic comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A huge shooting start when it crossed the atmosphere once I assisted to the Perseidas rain. During one second everything brighted in white.
The starts in the deep dark sky while bathing in the see at night in Cuba.
