ABOUT ME

I want to be that old man who has so many stories you'll never hear the same one twice, and I think of life as a great adventure, you just have to be willing to take the first step.Growing up I've moved a lot throughout the U.S. so I think I have a good sense of adapting to new areas, getting along with all types of people, and getting the most out of a variety situations. Most of my experiences have been across the states, and I have only scratched the surface of my traveling endeavors.

I'm new to the CouchSurfing world, but I intend on being the best host I can be, as well as a respectable surfer who will try to bring as much as I can to the table.

I have learned to really enjoy the little things in life and I love to laugh, not to mention being outdoors, hiking,kayaking, working out, camping, surfing, riding horses, rock climbing where I can in FL, cooking, drinking various adult beverages (especially wine), driving cars & riding motorcycles, playing all kinds of sports, philosophizing, having a night on the town, staying in with friends, you name it and I'm there!

Reading is one of those things that I love to do but don't do enough. I like watching all kinds of movies, it just depends on the mood!

This is a little different than most. One amazing thing I've done is beat cancer. It was about more than just about that, though. I felt like I connected with so many people who were going through the same thing I was, and felt as if I had just joined a brotherhood of fighters, because we were all in it together, win or lose.Out of those days came something somewhat unexpected. I feel like the battle helped transform me into a new, better person. It really set me back and made me evaluate where I had come from, what I was doing, and where I was going. Ever since, I've been motivated to love and live life, and to not take it too seriously.
