I'm Chase, a 33-year-old software engineer originally from Atlanta, Georgia USA (in the southeast). If you've ever watched the Walking Dead or Stranger Things, you know what my hometown looks like (minus the zombies and demogorgons), as these shows were both filmed there. I'm not currently hosting, but you ever visit the state of Georgia, check out Atlanta and Savannah!

While I love the southern USA, it's scenery/people and my family there, an insatiable wanderlust keeps me thinking about what's past the horizon, around the next corner. I used to think traveling means seeing all the cool places (old cities, nature, beaches), and it certainly does. But even more so, it's about the experiences and special connections with people you meet along the way.

I do a lot of house/pet sitting in exchange for a place to sleep. In between sitting, I'm interested in Couchsurfing since it offers a similar opportunity to meet new people and share stories. I generally work remotely in sync with the East Coast time zone (EST / UTC -5) while I travel, so all I need is a reliable internet connection, a place to lay my head and some interesting conversations.

In addition to writing code, my interests range from playing electric guitar (trying, at least), exploring places (7 new countries and several new US cities in 2017), competitive auto racing (my brothers, father and I have a race team), and thinking up my next facepalm worthy dad joke (I apologize in advance for the dumb jokes by the way).
