About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore culture, history, inhabit my own little corner of the universe and share with those who happen by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just getting started with the whole couch surfing scene. My roommate is in a music group that tours each summer, he turned me onto it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My house has hosted a few groups of people ~ always a good time.

Interests

Writing, playing and singing/performing my own little ditties and favorite songs. Basketball. Hiking, biking, rafting, climbing and other outdoor pursuits. History, archeology and travel. Good food and drink, hanging with like-minded individuals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Can enjoy many types of music, however mostly listen to classic and modern rock. Also reggae, jazz, hip-hop, classical, etc. Not into bland pop, hard core, gangsta rap, or commercial country.

My favorite movie is the Big Lebowski.

Read historical fiction, mystery, fantasy and sci fi. Favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut, George RR Martin, Neil Stephenson, and JRR Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last trip (prior to current trip to Korea) was to Greece and Egypt. Seeing the ancient wonders, the beautiful islands and teeming masses was a real experience. I feel very fortunate that I was able to see Egypt at that critical cross-roads without actually fearing for my life as I would now.
