I am currently sharing my account with the other person in the first two photos: her name is Kristina (same name, different spelling)

We are best friends who will be travelling to Japan this May so any messages/request will be from and for both of us :)

We have known each other for almost 10 years so our upcoming trip is kind of a way to celebrate that and to give us a chance to make new friends.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I prefer to experience a place through a local's guidance. It makes travelling more meaningful because you are experiencing a new place from the point of view of someone who is more familiar with it. I think CouchSurfing is the best outlet for that. I want to meet people who would love to show me their culture and teach me about their life. I'm here because the people in the CS community seem to be very open-minded and generous, and those are the kind of people I would like to surround myself with.

I have random tastes in pretty much everything. It's all about the mood and the environment.

Music: anything that suits my mood (I secretly listen to opera when I am in the library). I mostly have an appreciation for the oldies -- Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitz, Louis Armstrong, etc.

Movies: I will watch anything starring Tom Hanks.

Books: Original versions of fairytales (Hans Christian Andersen, Brothers Grimm), Dan Brown books, Archie comics ;P

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Volunteering in Honduras for a week, through Habitat for Humanity, to build a home for a local family. We had to dig up trenches and mix concrete, manually with just a pickaxe and shovel (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves style)!
