About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On hiatus from work on a mission of continuing self-improvement.

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Vancouver for 6 years and the city never ceases to amaze me. I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can but I also love technology and science so I try to find balance between these two parts of me. I believe that balance in all things is required to have a happy, healthy and fulfilling life and keep this in mind in everything that I do. My family and friends are the most important things to me, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. My life hasn't given much opportunity to travel so those stories give me windows to other parts of the world with the perspective to make it unique.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that asking how we live our lives is more important than why. We all have our reasons and mine is to learn and absorb everything I can during my short time on this Earth and pass it on to younger generations before my time expires.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been a couchsurfing member for years but have been nervous about hosting. I`m in a chapter of my life where I want to face my fears and do all of the things that my apprehensions have kept me from doing.

Interests

Rock climbing, camping, hiking, reading, technology, music, good conversation, good coffee and good people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once was forced to chase after a full grown, male wild black bear with a frying pan and spatula who had wandered into a camp site a few years ago and was feeling territorial. One of the scariest and most educational times of my life!
