À propos de moi

Hi! I’m an American from New York City and have not used Couchsurfing for the past couple of years for, well, obvious reasons.

I am traveling to Europe for November/December 2022 and would love to meet people and, if possible, stay with some kind folks along the way. I am FULLY vaccinated for COVID and also received a flu shot, I will respect all mask, distancing, and social guidelines and whatever makes you comfortable. And I’m also happy to take you out for drinks or a meal in return for your couch!

Countries I'm looking to visit while I am here:

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Monaco, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Italy (and San Marino and Vatican City), Spain, Andorra, and Portugal.

I would be very grateful to anyone able to host me in those countries; I love the train and don’t mind if you’re outside of the capital; I want to meet nice people and share stories with fellow travel lovers.

Thanks very much!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I've always felt that travel is an incredibly important part of developing a more tolerant and overall clear understanding of how the world around us works. I aim to, by testing the limits of where I can go, further my knowledge about both the small and large aspects of what makes a people uniquely motivated, talented, and passionate about their affairs.

Centres d'intérêt

My world revolves around cultural awareness; every day I seek to know something more about something unfamiliar- it's the best way to bring yourself back down to the world of the living where all of us are doing our best to make our lives and the lives around us better.

I enjoy tennis despite my lack of success in it. Who said you have to be an expert, though?

Music: Sigur Rós, Hammock, Bon Iver, Lights, Sufjan Stevens, Ólafur Arnalds, Bríet, Daði og Gagnamagnið

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

On one of my study archaeological excavations in Britain, I found a Roman coin that we dated to around AD 100!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Teach: That travel (and education!) are the greatest equalizers and even though we may not speak the same language we can find common ground as human beings :)

Learn: Family history, local customs, just- as we say in America- "soaking it all in"

Share: I would hope to share with hosts my "boring" story of growing up in suburban New York and hearing from others about their lives and identities, and learning more and more that we're not all that different, really.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

In staying with a host, I would be able to offer myself as a considerate house guest and eager-to-learn individual. As I said, I am very independent, and if my host would prefer that I be out for the day if they are working or have errands, I would be fine with with only a bed for the night. If they would like to show me places or share time with me to talk or do local events, I would be more than happy to do that as well. I usually don't have much of an agenda so I would be more than happy to fit in wherever my host would prefer.

Pays que j'ai visités

Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, United Kingdom
